Portrunny

Portrunny  is the latest release in The Bridge Series, named after a super spot on the Connaught shore of Lough Ree. Located about 8 km south of Roscommon town, there’s a lovely marina there and it’s a very safe place to enjoy watersports of all sorts. It’s a regular haunt of the Lough Ree Orca’s Open Water swimming group in the summertime.

There’s a lovely calmness to be found there , and it’s a great place to sit and enjoy life and nature.

And we think its fits very well with Portrunny Whiskey. It’s simple and outstanding at the same time -a Single Malt straight Bourbon finish aged just under 8 years.

7 years 9 months in Bourbon Cask

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Clean with vanilla, melted butter , white chocolate and delicate lemon zest.

Taste: Buttery and floral with more lemon zest and a sprinkle of white pepper .

Finish: Medium finish with floral notes, continuing and closing out with white pepper spice

Overall: A non chill-filtered whiskey with no added colour, this Single Malt Irish Whiskey is extremely approachable and rewarding. One to open and enjoy with good friends!
